During the hearing, the LVN states that from the beginning of the application process for the hospital she was employed at, she made them fully aware that she did not have a current CPR card and that she feels that out of fear from maybe getting terminated her husband procured an old card from her wallet, changed the dates and faxed it to the hospital without her knowledge.
Additionally, the LVN states whether this is what happened or not she realizes that she has a responsibility because she is the one who owned the card.
However, the LVN failed to hire a nurse attorney to help her with her case. Because of this, the Texas Board of Nursing suspended and disciplined the LVN.
