On or about October 7, 2019, while employed as an LVN with a healthcare facility in Longview, Texas, and assigned to provide nursing services for a patient, LVN failed to make a home health visit for the patient. LVN’s failure to complete a visit deprived the patient of detection and timely medical intervention in the event the patient experienced a change in condition.

The above actions constitute grounds for disciplinary action in accordance with Section 301.452(b)(10)&(13), Texas Occupations Code, and are a violation of 22 TEX. ADMIN. CODE §217.11(1)(A),(1)(B),(1)(M)&(2) and 22 TEX. ADMIN. CODE §217.12(1)(B)&(4).

Because of this, the LVN was summoned by the Texas Board of Nursing to defend her side but the LVN failed to hire a nurse attorney to help her with her case and without proper defense, the Texas Board of Nursing then decided to revoke her LVN license.
