The RN states that the patient began to turn on her back which caused her finger to go into the patient’s vaginal area. The RN further states that she informed the patient’s mother of the incident and together they assessed the patient. The RN states that there were no injuries noted to the patient and that the patient did not display any discomfort for the remainder of her shift.
However, she was not able to provide a good defense for herself. Therefore, the Board placed her RN license to a disciplinary action instead.
