An allegation or complaint could be a serious case, which is why a San Antonio nurse attorney is needed if you get accused of this kind of scenario. However, some who thought they were guilty of the charges failed to hire a nurse attorney just because they thought it’s the doom for their license already. But that is not entirely the case as there is still hope.

Unfortunately, an RN from San Antonio failed to do this which resulted in disciplinary action. Take note that the Texas Board of Nursing who handles all of the cases may affect the RN’s license from receiving the suspension, disciplinary action, or revocation. However, with the right nurse attorney for the case, rest assured that the case can go according to the nurse’s favor, especially if the RN has a good defense against the case.

On or about October 12, 2013, through December 3, 2013, while employed as a Registered Nurse, the RN increased the breath rate on the ventilator for a patient without a physician’s order. In addition, the RN failed to document the change in the ventilator breath rate in the medical record of the patient.

Additionally, the RN falsely documented the patient’s ventilator breath rate as the ordered ventilator breath rate. Her conduct resulted in an incomplete and inaccurate medical record and was likely to injure the patient in that subsequent caregivers would not have accurate and complete information on which to base their care decisions.

Her conduct also exposed the patient to a risk of harm in that failure to follow ventilation settings as ordered by the physician could have resulted in the non-efficacious treatment of the patient’s respiratory condition.

Unfortunately, without an experienced San Antonio nurse attorney to help her defend her case, she was disciplined and suspended by the Texas Board of Nursing.

If you ever undergo cases such as this, it’s best to seek the assistance of a good nurse attorney as it could make the case better in your favor. Be sure to find a nurse attorney who’s experienced and knowledgeable in several cases to ensure the best assistance possible.
