The Texas Board of Nursing (BON) is the government agency that has jurisdiction to hear and decide administrative cases involving RN and LVN in Texas. It is also the agency that is responsible for overseeing the practice of professional nursing all over the state of Texas. “Have you ever been convicted, placed on community supervision whether or not adjudicated guilty, sentenced to serve jail or prison time or granted pre-trial diversion, plead guilty, no contest or nolo contendere to any crime in any state, territory or country, or received a court order whether or not a sentence was imposed, including any pending criminal charges or unresolved arrests whether or not on appeal……….?”
She failed to state that on or about July 25, 2006, she was arrested and subsequently charged with Forgery of Financial Instrument,
During the hearing, the LVN admitted that she failed to read the whole question prior to submitting her answer.
However, due to lack of evidence and expert nurse attorney to defend her, the LVN was suspended and disciplined.
