At the time of the incident, she was employed as an RN with a home care health services provider in Killeen, Texas, and had been in that position for three (3) years.
On or about March 7, 2020, through April 11, 2020, while employed as an RN with a home care health services provider in Killeen, Texas, RN failed to schedule dental appointments for a client and/or failed to follow-up with the client’s mother to clarify if and when any scheduled dental appointments had occurred. RN’s conduct unnecessarily exposed the patient to a risk of harm from untreated dental conditions.
In response to the incident, RN states that the client was added to her caseload in March of 2020. RN states that the client’s mother scheduled his appointments and organized his care and would communicate with the Executive Director.
The above actions constitute grounds for disciplinary action in accordance with Section 301.452(b)(13), Texas Occupations Code, and is a violation of 22 TEX. ADMIN. CODE §217.11(1)(A),(1)(B),(1)(P)&(1)(Q).
