On or about March 16, 2021, while employed as an RN with a home health care service provider in Bryan, Texas, RN violated the boundaries of the nurse/client relationship in that he financially exploited Patient B in that he inappropriately asked for, and received, monetary funds in the amount of fifty dollars ($50.00). RN’s conduct violated the boundaries of the nurse/client relationship and was unprofessional. Additionally, RN’s conduct was likely to injure the patient in that it could have resulted in confusion between the needs of the nurse and those of the patient.
In response to the above incidents, RN states he strongly denies these false accusations.
The above actions constitute grounds for disciplinary action in accordance with Section 301.452(b)(10)&(13) Texas Occupations Code, and is a violation of 22 TEX ADMIN. CODE §217.11(1)(J) and 22 TEX. ADMIN. CODE §217.12(1)(B)&(6)(D).
