Take note that a nurse attorney can also defend a nurse’s license against accusations.
At the time of the initial incident, she was employed as an RN at a hospital in McAllen, Texas, and had been in that position for six (6) years and seven (7) months.
On or about February 6, 2020, through February 7, 2020, while employed as an RN at a hospital in McAllen, Texas, RN witnessed staff members taking video and laughing while exposing the backside of the patient. Additionally, RN received the video footage and admitted to watching the video to laugh and relieve stress. RN’s conduct failed to respect the patient’s right to privacy and could have caused delayed distress for the patient.
In response, RN states the video was sent to her without her request or authorization. RN explains that when her Director asked her to delete it, she did.
The above action constitutes grounds for disciplinary action in accordance with Section 301.452(b)(10)&(13), Texas Occupations Code, and is a violation of 22 TEX. ADMIN. CODE §217.11(1)(A),(1)(B)&(1)(E) and 22 TEX. ADMIN. CODE §217.12 (1)(B)&(6)(C).
